The image “http://s35.photobucket.com/albums/d189/dimebar_probably/Smileys/th_chainsaw.gif” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors. To get around this, you can either go to Post Options before you start typing, and set “Don’t autoformat this post” on, then paste the code in Source view, or you can paste it and edit everything so it is all on one line. Or just paste the code and post without switching between views.

Q: Whehgjn I try to post to Blogger, I get an error saying “Your XHTML is not well formed. Please check your tags,” or something like that. What’s that mean?

A: Atom is an XML format, and as such, everything within it has to parse correctly in an XML parser. This means that you must use XHTML in your posts, and properly close all your tags. This isn’t hard to do – just remember whenever you start a tag ( or whatever), remember to close it off (), and put a slash before the end of tags that don’t close (like

instead of

, instead of , etc). Deepest Sender will take care of most of this for you, so it is rare that you will get this error. There was a bug in versions of Deepest Sender less than 0.7.8 that caused this to happen far more frequently than it should.

Q: When trying to post or log into Blogger/WordPress, I get some error like “TypeError: node not found.” What?

A: This can happen now and again when the site you’re posting to is not working properly, and returns invalid XML to your requests (or the connection between Deepest Sender and the server is terminated halfway through doing something). Try again – if it still doesn’t work, save your post and make sure the site is working, and try again in a few hours. If you still experience this problem and you’re absolutely sure that the server and your Internet connection is working 100%, make a post to the Deepest Sender community about it.
